I can't believe that summer is here already but I am excited about gardening again and summer seasonal fruits like peaches. It's amazing how much better the taste is with in season fruits.
I started making these fruit + yogurt parfaits as an afternoon snack recently and now my body craves one each day. Any fruits can be added but I particularly love combos of raspberries & peaches or raspberries & blueberries.
I love making this in a ball mason jar and throwing it in the fridge until later for an easy on-the-go snack.
Summer Fruit + Yogurt Parfait Recipe
Prep time: 5 minutes
1 cup of fruit (raspberries, diced peaches, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, whatever your fancy!)
3/4 cup of yogurt ( I love this vanilla bean greek yogurt)
1/2 cup of granola ( I love this v'nilla almond granola)
drizzle on some honey for some extra sweetness
Grab a mason jar, bowl, mug, wine glass or container of your choice.
Alternate spoonfuls of fruit followed by yogurt and then some granola until container is filled to the top.
Enjoy immediately or If using a mason jar for later use, add lid and store in fridge until enjoyment.
This recipe is so simple and delicious. I don't think that I will be buying any individual yogurts anytime soon. Yum!
