As you can tell from my massive jug of white vinegar, I use this a LOT.
Instead of doing a lot of tiny posts about my favorite uses for this product, I figured I would combine them all into one post. So without further ado, see below for my top five uses for white vinegar.

As a Bathroom/Kitchen/Window Cleaner
Vinegar + Dawn dish soap = the best bathroom cleaner. hands down. I use this to clean my bathrooms, battle soap scum, clean windows and clean the kitchen.
For the bathroom: I use 1 part vinegar and a few drops of dawn dish soap (the blue kind) in this. Scrub away to battle soap scum and then rinse. AH-MAZE-ZING!
For everything else: Mix 1 part vinegar and 1 part dawn dish soap in a spray bottle. Just spray on and rinse. Works wonders!

As a Deodorizer
Ever cook something and there's a lingering smell? Just pour a little bit of vinegar into a bowl, let it sit for about an hour and the odor will disappear. I don't know how this works but it is quite magical.

As a Fabric Softener
Never buy fabric softener again.
Instead of using fabric softener, pour 1/2 cup of vinegar into the fabric softener dispenser slot in your washing machine. Add your detergent and start your wash.
This makes everything soft, makes your towels more absorbent and even gets rid of those annoying water spot stains!
You might wonder, "But will I smell like a salad?!" Nope. I promise that your clothes will not smell like vinegar! There is no smell at all. So fresh and so clean.

Clean/de-scale a Coffee Maker
If you use a coffee maker you know how it sometimes doesn't run as good as it once did. Pour 1 part vinegar and 1 part water into the water reservoir and run a cycle. If you want to, you can run another cycle with plain ole water to make sure there is not any lingering vinegar. The vinegar will remove any mineral deposits, other impurities and you'll be able to have your coffee brewed again in no time.

Clean Your Dishwasher
Okay so, I have a confession. One day my dishwasher stopped working, it would not clean my dishes like it once did. Since it is ancient, I thought that it was broken. Dishwashers are way more expensive than I thought that they were.. so instead of investing in a new one I decided to hand wash my dishes. For months I hand washed all of my dishes and didn't think anything of it. Hand washing isn't that bad until you miss not cleaning up after ONE meal and then your kitchen looks like all of your procrastination is hanging out in the sink.
Plus, I saved a lot of money not buying a new dishwasher! Yay!
Do you ever use white vinegar for cleaning? What do you like to use white vinegar for?
